I’ve been following The Church of No People for a few months now, and I like what they have to say. It’s funny and insightful. The premise is what would you do or say if it wasn’t about the people, but about God.

So check them out. See what you think. If you need a little more persuasion, they’re giving away a chance to win a book, Chick-fi-A and a t-shirt, so it’s a win-win-win-win.

Don’t say I never do anything for you.

It’s the first of the month again, and you know what that means. Government checks! Oh, no, I mean Link Love. That time when I give a shout out to the top 5 people who gave me a shout out last month and sent me the most traffic.

Timm Collins – Steady at the top of Link Love once again. He’s been at the top since I started Link Love. Can anyone dethrone him? Tune in next month to find out…….

Blue Room Worthy – Also known as Travis Thompson. Or #2 at RPC. Ironically, he’s been in the #2 spot on Link Love all three months, although he had some stiff opposition from #3.

Pinky68 – Climbing one spot from last month, she was only one link away from #2. So close, yet so far.

Tabby Bottoms– She disappeared last month, but reappeared and gained a spot. It may have had something to do with the Spongebob joke, I’m not sure.

Emily.the.Strange – Previously holding strong at #3 the last two months. I feel our friendship waning.

Honorable Mention – Although this post is dedicated to actual people, I must give a shout out to my friends over at A&E. Their Intervention series, specifically the one on Emily from season 4, has sent me 258 visitors last month. That’s as much as this month’s top 5 combined! Thanks A&E and Emily.

That’s it for this month. Be sure to check out the links here, and tell them I sent you. Check back next month to see if Timm and Travis stay 1 & 2, and if Emily drops out of the top 5. I can hardly wait.

While I was thinking of something brilliant or spontaneous to write about, I ran across this post by Melissa.

Go there and check it out. It’s pretty powerful, and better than anything I could come up with.

This is my second monthly installment of Link Love. You can check out the first one if you like. The basic premise is this: I highlight the top 5 referrers to my blog. I don’t count websites, only people. So, without further ado, here’s the top 5 for June.

Timm Collins. Same spot as last month. RPC‘s pastor. Noah’s dad. Miranda’s husband.

Travis Thompson. Same spot as well. If I gave double points for linking from a post, he would be in first. I don’t think Travis fully appreciated the humor in last month’s post.

Emily Monts De Oca. Same spot – I see a trend. Word on the street is she owns a woobie and will kill anyone who touches it. Kinda like a voodoo blankie. Plus, she’s like reverse Houdini – getting locked in places.

Justin Whidden. RPC‘s worship pastor. Dude is super-gifted. Like the Artist Formerly Known As Prince, without the phallic-shaped guitar. New to the top 5. Welcome. He’s actually tied for fourth place with the next two people.

Melissa Loop. AKA pinky68. AKA Satchmo’s momma. Mel’s new to the top 5 AND new to the blog-world. Go check her out. She’s got some pretty deep thoughts. Kinda like Jack Handey, without the satire. Mel’s the sleeper for this month.

Mike Monts De Oca. Same spot as last month, but with some company. Be careful what you leave behind or you may see a ransom blog or a listing on e-bay.

Honorable mention: Bobby McCue. No doubt Bobby would be on this list. If he only had a blog. Why is that, again?

That’s it for this month. Be sure to check out each of those represented here, and tell them Michael sent you. BTW, stop trying to click Bobby’s name. He’s not interactive. I just changed the font color.

I did a post like this a while back entitled “You Got Here How?” showing some of the weird searches that brought people to my site. Well, I’ve gathered a few more and couldn’t wait to share them with you.

holier than thou-stop – Makes me wanna collaborate and listen.

what are words to song “i love you a bus – I don’t know, but I bet they’re just swell. And it’s probably better than loving someone a moped.

glitter – I imagine someone trying to find Mariah Carey’s blog and reaching me.

michael matthews work at home – This is the sign from God that I have been looking for. BTW, God, there’s only one “t” in Mathews.

“1/4 japanese” – Represent’in.

andy stanley – Imagine the disappointment (or surprise) when they searched for Andy Stanley and found me.

how to change mike and marry voice – #1 I’m not changing. #2 Who’s this “voice” fellow?

emily thompson flowers – They weren’t from me. I promise.

emily intervention update – Really?

intervention emily update – Wow.

intervention update on emily – Again?

emily 26, intervention update – I see a trend here.

emily update from intervention – Sorry about Emily and her problems, but I appreciate the traffic.

problem he wants me but not my kids – This is strangely random.

two different shoes fashion shows – Josh has found his calling! Little Mr. Two Shoes, here we come.

Which one is your favorite?

It’s interesting to see what search engine terms were used to get to my blog. I’ve listed some of the weirdest below:

“anime tattoos” – I don’t have any but I do have my opinions about them.

masturbation comments – No comment.

ray lewis – Ray-ray representin’

al gore snickers commerical i invented p – Very strange. He invented pee, too? Dude was seriously busy.

“her fly was” – was what?

thank you for being my preschool teacher – You’re welcome, but I’ve never taught preschool.

songs that have a wah wah paddle in it – I have no idea what this means.

little boy with big voice – Are you talkin’ to me? Not liking Google so much right now.

emily montsdeoca – Sorry to disappoint, but I’m not Emily.

“dress shut in” – In what?

big voice in small body – let’s talk – How you doin’?

Those are by far the strangest for now. What about you? How did you get here?

Do you have friends? I don’t know if I do or not, but I do know one thing: People send people to my blog from their blog. <head scratching, re-read, re-re-read>

OK, got it now? Anyway, people are sending me traffic. Either from their blogroll or from linking to me in a post (my favorite way). That being said, I wanted to give a shout-out to those who gave me a shout-out. Here’s the top 5 from May:

Timm Collins. My pastor & my friend. What else can I say.

Stephen Travis Thompson. He’s Steven Curtis Chapman’s twin. Same mom, different dads. That explains the last names. Travis is the man responsible for me blogging. Blame it on him. He’s a great guy and a great influence.

Emily MontsDeOca. Programming director at RPC. Insanely talented. Loves surprises and being around multitudes of people.

Mike MontsDeOca. Emily’s hubby. Crazy on the guitar. Not a bad cook, either, from what I hear.

Tabby Bottoms. Tabby was the sleeper last month. Didn’t expect to see her that far up on my referrers. She and her husband Tim used to attend RPC. Now she’s on staff at Bell Shoals. They’re both cool people, and we miss them. BSBC is lucky to have them. Not to mention her name sounds like a town Spongebob Squarepants would live in.

Do me a favor. Check these guys out and tell ’em I sent you.

Don’t see your name on this list? Then get to link’in.
